Plans for an exciting new £40m investment will bring a host of new shops to Birstall retail park.
The plan is to build eight large retail units to the already sprawling Shopping Park at junction 27 of the M62.
The identities of the retailers who will occupy the new units has not yet been revealed but the project is sure to bring a host of new brands.
IKEA, Argos, River Island, Next and the now bust Toys ‘R’ Us are just some of the shops already situated in the retail park.
The new shops will be built on Bankwood Way, which is adjacent to DW Sports and Fitness gym.
The land is currently occupied by industrial tenants, including a car wash and a pallet business.
As well as bringing a host of new shops it is thought the development would create around 300 jobs.
