A rebrand of Leeds Bradford airport will see it promoted as ‘Yorkshire’s Airport’.

The move follows new ownership of the airport, the appointment of David Laws as chief executive and a revamp of the terminal with new lounges and a bar.

Work on a new Starbucks coffee shop and additional shops are due to start in the coming weeks.

The airport has also added more seats in the departure lounge and plans to introduce a new meet and greet car-park.

This follows the opening of the first off-site car park last month. Viking Airport Parking has staff available to park cars 24/7 and shuttle buses transport passengers to the terminal in less than five minutes.

Laws said:
“We want the people of our thriving region to get behind their airport and help us move forward. We are delighted to offer our passengers even more choice in our departure lounge, as well as improved facilities for business travellers. We hope people will see this as the start of things to come for this airport. Our brand refresh embodies our vision to become Yorkshire’s airport of choice and to provide an airport our passengers can be proud of.
